October 13 2008 Meeting

Meeting was called to order at 7:02PM.
MJ read the minutes from the September meeting. Tim K. moved to accept the minutes As read, Greg B. seconded the motion, motion passed.
Tim K. gave the VP report. Discussed upcoming events, stated that a reminder letter will be sent out to everyone that has not yet paid their dues. Tim S. stated that he can add that little message on the Newsletters and save the club the extra postage. The upcoming events that Tim K. was referring to are the parades. Parades are as follows….
Sand Springs, Friday December 5th, 7PM with a $10 entry fee for the club.
Broken Arrow, Saturday December 6th, 10AM
Coweeta, Saturday December 6th, 12PM
Claremore, Saturday December 6th, 6PM
Owasso, Saturday December 13th, 930AM

Discussion followed as to which parades we should attend, Wil P. made a motion that we register for all of the parades and pay for the Sand Springs entry fee, Nick L. seconded the motion, motion passed.

John K. gave the treasurer's report.
Wil P. moved to accept the report as read, Greg B. seconded the motion,
Motion passed.

New Business

Dennis G. brought up the subject of the Christmas Party. Discussion followed as to where to have the Christmas Party since the fee's at the old location seem to go up every year and the person that is supposed to let us in gets later every year. Wil P. suggested the new Nihaus Facility. Tim K. made a motion that he will check on the price and dates, December 7th or 14th was mentioned. John K. seconded the motion, motion passed.
Dennis G. mentioned annual Charitable Donations, discussions followed, Wil P. made motion to give $500 to the Dayspring Women's Home, Greg B. seconded the motion, motion passed. Dennis G. reminded everyone that the Dinner Cruise this month is to Diamond Jack's at 71st and Yale. Meet at the social security building at 530PM, pullout at 545PM, Greg B. will set it up.
Dennis G also reminded everyone that this month our Friday Sonic Night is on Halloween. He also reminded everyone that we need suggestions for dinner cruises. Tim S. suggested that our dinner cruise be earlier in the day. Discussion followed, we would see how members respond to the idea.
It was announced that there was no flier for the Toy Run on November 22nd,
And that the information will be in the newsletter.

Dennis G. spoke of the Great Picnic the car club had in September. Good Food, Good Company, Nice Cars.
Dennis Reported on PINKS at Tulsa Raceway Park and how much fun it was.
Tim K. announced that Larry G. is selling his Chevelle Race Car.

Dennis G. reminded everyone that the Regional Car Show meeting with Harold G. will be held directly after the meeting is adjourned.
